Greeting everyone!
The time has come - the training is over and the competition is on! The picnic/games will begin immediately after church services this Sunday.
FOOD…
Please make sure you bring a lunch with you. There will be no food "assignments". Just bring enough for your family and some to spare for those who may have forgotten or guest that did not know about the picnic. Please encourage visitors to come, sit and break bread with you. It is a great opportunity to start an awesome relationship.
Colors!
Just like last year each family group will be assigned a color. Please wear a t-shirt the color assigned to your family group. The colors assignments are as follows:
Family Group - Color
Robbins - White
Efstathion’s - Green
Maday - Red
Charon’s - Dark Blue
Evans - Black
Jobe’s - Yellow
Filiere - Orange
Orr’s- Purple
Waire’s- Maroon
Teens & Campus (Bascones) - Light Blue
Make sure you contact any guests that you invite to please wear a t-shirt as well (although it is not required for guests).
Events
The events will be in the following order:
1st event - Watermelon Eating Contest - hosted by the Orr family group
2nd event - Egg Toss - hosted by the Robbins family group
3rd event - Relay Races - hosted by the Waire family group
4th event - Seed Spiting Contest - hosted by the Charon family group
5th event - Dodge Ball - hosted by the Efstathion family group
6th event - Tug of War - hosted by the Job family group
Sign up early and often…
Please be thinking of what events you want to participate in and contact you family group leader and let them know what you want to participate in (if you are in the Jobe family group - please contact Jim Curtin). We will be running a children’s competition during each of the events so please encourage your child to participate with the other children and not compete with the adults.
Each event will run individually and in order so you can compete in any or all events. So, again contact your family group leader and let them know which event you would like to compete in as soon as you can.
Lights Camera Action!
If you have a digital camera (video or still) please bring it with you so we can get plenty of pictures. For those of you that do bring your cameras make sure and see Angele or myself so we can coordinate where to e-mail or download your pictures.
Remy Jette will be the official camera man for event so keep an eye out for him so you can get your 5 mins of fame…
