HOPE worldwide received this message from our church partners in Lima, Peru regarding the recent earthquake there: We are experiencing much sorrow over what is happening in our country as a result of this earthquake. The cities affected are Canete, Chincha, Pisco, and Ica located south of Lima. Many have lost their families, homes and almost all of their personal belongings. At the moment some are receiving help, but not enough. We are working to mobilize a number of volunteers to work with us. The Church of Christ in Lima has formed a group who are helping quake victims. The victims need many basic essentials such as water, food, shelter and medicines. We ask for your prayers and are thankful for them. We also need your financial support to help us meet the urgent needs. We send you our love, Gonzalo Escobar, Lima Church of Christ
