Christmas Banquet:  Our annual Christmas Banquet will be Saturday, December 13 at 6 PM.  Location:  Leicster Knights of Colombus, 91 Manville Street, Leicester, MA.  The cost is $15.00 for adults ages 13 & Up, $8.00 for children ages 6-12 and free for Children 0-5.  Please Sign Up Today and pay by next Sunday, December 6th.  See Lori Maday to sign up and pay or email Lori at bballlori@aol.com. 

Kids Kingdom:  Kids Kingdom Christmas Party will be on Sunday December 14th during class. Refreshment donations gladly, and gratefully, accepted.  Sign-up sheets for refreshments will be in KK today. 

Annual Meeting:  Please plan to attend the Annual Meeting and Election of four Directors to the WCCOC Board next Wednesday, December 4th, during our All Church Midweek. The final candidates for the four open slots are as follows: Chris Efsthathion, Tom Caswell, Jen Capewell, John Clark, Pamela Palmer and Kevin Kennedy.  Please pray about your choices over the next week. We are fortunate to have an exceptional group of candidates and, as always, God will be in control as we select new Directors!

Open House:  There will be a drop-in Open House at the Efstathion’s on Saturday December 6th from 5pm-7:30pm for anyone who wants to visit with Lowell and Angie Hoover. 

Bible Talk Leaders’ Meetings:  The Bible Talk Leaders and assistants meeting will be after services on December 7. 

Jack and Jill Shower:  There will be a Jack and Jill wedding shower for Tyrone Jones and Tracy Meehan on December 14, at 1 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Beausoleil Family:  Tess (16) has just been released from Children’s Hospital, in Washington, DC after being diagnosed with Type I diabetes. Dana continues in daily physical therapy/neurology treatment at the Baltimore VA hospital from permanent injuries sustained in Iraq and is currently being medically retired from the US Army and Karin remains in medical care (but is thankfully getting better) after her car was rear-ended at traffic light last year.

We will hold our Annual General Meeting and Election on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, during All Church

member, with their consent, who they believe possesses both the business acumen and spiritual fitness to
represent God’s church in a manner that glorifies Him. The nominated candidates will be reviewed by the Board
then the Leadership Group, to establish a final list of nominees that will appear on the ballot. The
members will be notified as to the names that will appear on the ballot no later than Wednesday, November 26, 2008.
If you wish to nominate a member, please see Jim Curtin at the conclusion of service today to obtain a nomination form. The completed form, signed by the nominee, must be returned to Jim Curtin, no later than the close of service at either the marriage retreat or at the SDA service, next Sunday, 11/16.

Schedule Changes:  We will be having an all church midweek on Tuesday, November 25 for the Thanksgiving week.  The November women’s midweek service will be on November 19.

Grace and Truth in Marriage: Today is the last day to register for the Marriage Retreat.  Roger and Marcia Lamb will be our guest speakers at our Marriage Retreat with the Granite State Church, November 15-16 at the Courtyard Marriott in Nashua.  The cost for the retreat is $65.  See Sandy Meindersma to register and pay, or register online at   www.granitestatecoc.org.  If you registered online and did not pay, please see Sandy to pay.  The hotel reservations are separate, and must be made by calling the hotel at 1-800-321-2211 or 603-880-9100. 

Vanjeil from the Tirana, Albania church will be preaching at the 5 pm Sunday evening service. 

Thanksgiving Food Drive:  We are collecting items for the Pernet Family Center’s Thanksgiving Food Drive today.  Pernet has appreciated our support over the past several years and they are hopeful we will once again help them get food to those in need for Thanksgiving.

Albania Trip:  Eric Jette and Pat and Kate Bars will be visiting the church in Tirana on November 21st, so please pray for their visit. The response to our plea for kids’ clothes was outstanding and now the only thing that we’ve been told would still be helpful to bring over is clothes for baby boys, as there are a few of them on the way! Please see Eric or the Bars any of the next few Sundays.
 
Second Annual Hearts Tournament!!!   We will be having our second annual hearts tournament on November 29th at 6:00 p.m. at the Jette’s house. More details to come, but if you’re interested, please set aside the date.
