Upcoming Fall Events: This fall we will be having two special events – a parenting workshop on September 20 and a marriage retreat on November 14-15. Save these dates so we can continue to build up the family of God.

Kids’ Kingdom: The next Kid Kingdom rotation will be starting Sunday September 7th. There are some prime opportunities still open to serve especially in the infants and 2s/3s classes. Please contact Pat or Kate if you can serve. Thank you. (katebars@hotmail.com)

Early Service Childcare is in need of 2 people on Sundays from 9:20-10:15. Please contact Pat or Kate if you can serve. Thank you.

Housing Needed: Karlee Harding is looking for a family or single woman to stay with-someone who has a spare bedroom, hopefully somewhere close to Worcester state probably for about 6 months, or until spring semester starts. She can baby-sit or clean or whatever is needed in exchange for living space, and can buy her own food and will be gone a lot with the campus doing so much and with school and hopes to find a job. If anyone is willing to allow her to live with them they should see Karlee or call her (978 319 3314). She is hoping to move in before school starts (Sept 3rd).

Special Contribution Update: We are within $2000 of our special missions goal of $54,000. In order to put us over the top, we will be taking one last collection for special missions on Wednesday, August 6. If every member gives just $15, we will reach our goal!

Schedule Change: There will be an all church midweek on Wednesday, July 30th, instead of meeting by family groups. We will be collecting our Sunday contribution for August 3 at midweek, instead of at the DCU Center.

New England Christian Conference: The conference, “As For Me and My House,” will take place on Saturday and Sunday August 2 and 3, 2008 at the DCU Center. You may also register at church today, online at www.nechristianconference.com until Wednesday, July 30th or at the door. See the church website for the conference schedule.

Conference Help Needed: Volunteers are still very much needed to help with conference childcare from 10-12 Saturday morning. Another region will be co-staffing that time period with us, but we still need to have quite a few more people serve (~20). Please let Kate and Pat know ASAP (katebars@hotmail.com) if you can help. (Regular KK screening policies apply). There is no prep work required; the activities will all be ready for you. Just come with a heart to serve. Thank you!!

Special Contribution Update: We are so close to our Special Missions Contribution goal! So far, we’ve collected $51,860.53. With just over $2000.00 to go, we’ve done an incredible job! While most of us have already given our pledged amounts, but if you haven’t yet, please know that it’s not too late to give. And if you do still plan to give, it would be very helpful if you could turn in a new pledge so that we can anticipate what the final total will be. Pledges may be put in the collection plate or turned into John Clark. Also, just a small additional contribution from a few along with the pledge amounts will push us over the $54,000 mark. Making – or exceeding – our SMC goal will be a huge victory for Worcester!

New England Christian Conference: The conference, “As For Me and My House,” will take place on Saturday and Sunday August 2 and 3, 2008 at the DCU Center.
